2018 Board of Directors

Maria Talbert

Maria Talbert

President

Maria Talbert has been a member of the Winston-Salem Jaycees since July 2012. She loves being a part of the Jaycee family, which has provided her many opportunities to network, meet new friends, further develop leadership skills and give back to the community. Maria currently holds the position of President and has served on the board in various roles including Membership Vice President, Treasurer and Membership Recruitment Director. Maria received her MBA from Wake Forest University and works in brand marketing at Hanesbrands. She and her husband Sam have 3 boys, Austin, Gannon and Abram, and a beagle named Lily.

Sara Butner

Sara Butner

Chairman of the Board

Sara E. Butner joined the Winston-Salem Jaycees in 2012 to expand her professional network and make new friends. Sara grew up volunteering with her church youth group, and found that as an adult it was harder to get involved in the community in ways that had a real impact. In the Jaycees, she found a wide selection of service projects that also allowed her to grow her planning and leadership skills, including the City of Winston-Salem Centennial Parade in 2013 and the Annual Jaycees Holiday Parade. Sara has served on the board since 2013. She works in the non-profit field and also volunteers with Winston-Salem’s many community theatres.

Christopher Lineberry

Christopher Lineberry

Treasurer

Chris Lineberry joined the Winston-Salem Jaycees in February of 2015. Since he joined this organization, he has witnessed countless opportunities to better serve the city, from school sponsorship, to helping impoverished kids with their holiday wishes. The Jaycees have helped him to vastly expand his skill sets, as well as encourage him to become a mentor in his own right. Chris was the 2017 Membership Recruitment Director, and is serving now as the 2018 Treasurer. Chris has earned a Business Administration Degree from Forsyth Tech. While attending, he also minored in Marketing. He has experience in printing, finances, customer service, marketing, and business networking. Chris' life is best described as “jack-of-all trades, master-of-none”.
