President

Shay Wilson has been a Jaycee since December 2013 and joined the board in 2015. She became a Jaycee to give back to the city that's become her home, as well as develop better personal and professional relationships. She is a Manager for Fifth Letter a design and marketing advice firm in Winston-Salem. Shay's held various positions on the both the local and state Jaycees level including; State Competitions Program Manager, Winston-Salem Operations Vice President, Membership Retention Director and Secretary. She graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor's of Business Degree. She's also a Member of the Elks #449, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She enjoys spending free time with her family and friends, and playing with her 2 pups, Sydney and Evy.

Maria Talbert has been a member of the Winston-Salem Jaycees since July 2012. She loves being a part of the Jaycee family, which has provided her many opportunities to network, meet new friends, further develop leadership skills and give back to the community. Maria currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board and has served on the board in various roles including Membership Vice President, Treasurer and Membership Recruitment Director. Maria received her MBA from Wake Forest University and works in brand marketing at Hanesbrands. She and her husband Sam have 3 boys, Austin, Gannon and Abram, and a beagle named Lily.

Chris Lineberry joined the Winston-Salem Jaycees in February of 2015. Since he joined this organization, he has witnessed countless opportunities to better serve the city, from school sponsorship, to helping impoverished kids with their holiday wishes. The Jaycees have helped him to vastly expand his skill sets, as well as encourage him to become a mentor in his own right. Chris was the Membership Recruitment Director, and is serving now as the Treasurer. Chris has earned a Business Administration Degree from Forsyth Tech. While attending, he also minored in Marketing. He has experience in printing, finances, customer service, marketing, and business networking. Chris' life is best described as “jack-of-all trades, master-of-none”.

Sarah Loonam joined the Winston-Salem Jaycees in 2017 to meet new people and develop her leadership skills. She joined the board in 2018 to get more involved in the local community and give back. She currently works at United Healthcare. She and her husband Sal have a daughter, Julianna, and two dogs, Baymax and Apollo.

Nick Means

Operations Vice-President

Nick has been a member of the Winston-Salem Jaycees since 2011 and he previously served on the board as the Operations Management Director. Along with his fellow Jaycees, Nick shares the passion for having a strong impact on the Winston-Salem community and beyond. Nick graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA degree in Sociology and then went on to graduate from East Carolina University with a BS degree in Hospitality Management. Nick is excited to serve in his role to continue the mission of recruiting and training young professionals by providing fun, innovative opportunities for individuals to serve humanity. Nick has a lovely wife, Monica and an adorable baby.

Missy Hunter joined the chapter in November 2014 to meet new people and gain better leadership skills. She is excited to be on the Board as a way to further my leadership skills and help others with their leadership skills. She graduated from East Carolina University's Distance Education Program with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
