2013 NC Mid-Year Convention (Aug 2 – 4, 2013)

Congratulations to everyone and thank you to every single member for huge contributions to our success! Together we’re making a big impact in our community.

Our chapter placed 1st in Parade of Chapters for 1st Semester. This means we are working hard and succeeding in providing well rounded programming for our chapter!  For those who missed the convention, here’s how we did!

National Awards (from year-end 2012)

  • Clarence H. Howard Memorial Award (Most Outstanding Local Chapter) – Winston-Salem Jaycees
  • Blue Chip Status for 2012 (Chapter Detailed Business Plan) – Winston-Salem Jaycees
  • Dennis Hamilton Memorial Award (Best State Flagship Program) – Winston Salem Jaycees, Monica Morgan
  • Heidi Juttner Memorial Award (Outstanding Local Vice President) – Winston-Salem Jaycees, Kevin Matthies
  • Charles Kulp, Jr. Memorial Award (Most Outstanding Local President) – Winston-Salem Jaycees, Katie Taylor
  • JJCI Conference of the Americas (Most Outstanding Local President – North, Central and South America) – Winston-Salem Jaycees, Katie Taylor
    • At World Congress in Rio (Nov 4 – 9, 2013), Katie will be eligible to compete against three other 2012 chapter presidents for the 2012 Outstanding JCI chapter president award.
