Community Service – Outstanding Young Leaders (OYL) Scholarship

OYLYoung leaders from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School District have the opportunity to complete their applications for the Outstanding Young Leaders (OYL) Scholarship each spring. At the Outstanding Young Leader Scholarship and Awards Reception, all nominees will receive an official certificate of achievement with their name on it to keep. The scholarship winners will receive an additional official certificate denoting the amount of their scholarship.

The chapter presents several scholarships at the event, the number of scholarships and their amount will be dependent upon the success of the project’s fundraising efforts. The Winston-Salem chapter will send the top five applications to compete for the North Carolina Jaycee’s Outstanding Teenager Award. The winners of this award and an additional scholarship are announced in early summer at the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
