18th Annual Band Aid for Burn Survivors Concert & Poker Run

Our 18th Annual Band Aid for Burn Survivors benefit concert and poker run returns Saturday, Sept. 16. The event benefits the NC Jaycees Burn Center in Chapel Hill (which was founded by Jaycees in the 1960s) and the Wake Forest Baptist Health Burn Center in Winston-Salem. For the second year, a poker run will take place during the day before the concert.
The Poker Run will start at Second & Green Tavern participants will go and collect playing cards at several stops (more information coming soon) and back to Second & Green Tavern. Prizes will be given to the best and worst poker hands. $15 per motorcycle, $5 for additional rider, and $20 per car.
Tentative Stops (to be finalized on the day of the event at check in/registration):
Starting at Second & Green Tavern participants will go and collect playing cards at
- Double D’s Burnout Saloon,
- The Ole Watering Hole,
- Ted’s Famous Chicken,
- and back to Second & Green Tavern.
Following the poker run, the Band Aid Benefit Concert Series will begin with doors opening at 5:30pm and the first band at 6:30pm.
