Cooking Class

FreeJoin us for a cooking class hosted by the Winston-Salem Jaycees and The Stratford at Hillcrest Apartments. Chef Nikki Miller-Ka will be giving a demonstration on how to cook the following dishes: Cornbread Panzanella Salad, Crab Salad in Puff Pastry, Oven-Fried Chicken with Pan Gravy, and Lavender Jelly Filled Doughnuts.
This event will take place in the clubhouse at The Stratford of Hillcrest Apartments on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017. Cooking class starts at 6:30pm. There is no cost to attend.
We are lucky to have Chef Nikki Miller-Ka presenting for this event. Chef Nikki Miller-Ka is a classically trained chef with degrees from East Carolina University and Le Cordon Bleu-Miami. Formerly, she’s worked as a catering chef, pastry chef, butcher, baker, and biscuit-maker. Currently, she is a private chef, tour guide for Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours, Casual Dining columnist for the Greensboro News and Record and freelance writer for various publications in the Southeast. Chef Nikki Miller-Ka writes about her life as a professional chef, foodie, local and regional restaurant trends, food organizations, food producers and everything culinary on her blog, Nik Snacks.
Winston-Salem Jaycees members and guests are welcome to attend this event.
