MudPies School Supply Drive

MudPies Child Care Center Downtown East, located at 251 E. 7th Street in Downtown Winston-Salem, is operated by the 501c3 non-profit Northwest Child Development Centers. NWCDC was founded in 1970. Its child care centers serve children from infants to 5 years old. The downtown location serves a diverse cross-section of families with varying income levels. To start the school year, MudPies is holding a school supply drive.

The Jaycees will collect school supplies at Monday Mugs (July 17) and the General Membership Meeting (July 24). You’re also be encouraged to drop off items at a donation box located at Washington Perk on 4th Street through Friday, July 28. Items will be distributed on Monday, July 31.

Supplies requested are: crayons, colored pencils, writing pencils, glue (sticks and liquid), construction paper, books (for ages up to 5), and clothing items for ages six weeks to 5 (onesies, pants, underwear, shirts, socks and shoes, jackets). Diapers (six weeks and up) and baby wipes are also needed. Donations should be unwrapped. Clothing and books may be used, but should be clean and in good condition.
