Salute! NC Wine Celebration VOLUNTEERS

Salute! Returns on June 3, 2017, and we need YOU!

Come out and help the Winston-Salem Jaycees as we work the wine pick-up station and the two ticket booths during 12th Annual Salute! NC Wine Celebration again this year.

Work with us for a four-hour shift, and you get FREE admission ($25 value), a festival T-shirt, a tasting glass, and some responsible tasting. PLUS, you get to have some fun with some pretty awesome people while helping raise funds for the Winston-Salem Jaycees!

If you’ve volunteered with us in the past, please note that shifts are now shorter in order to better meet the needs of the wine pick-up tent and to give volunteers more time to enjoy their free tasting.

Available Shifts:(Subject to change)
Ticket Booth
1st shift: 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
2nd shift: 2-6 p.m.

Wine Pick-up Tent
1st Shift: 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
2nd Shift: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
3rd Shift: 4-7 p.m. (Includes helping with festival breakdown)

Duties will include:

• Wine Pick-up – Volunteers for this task will be assisting with set-up, picking up and checking in wine, categorizing where the wine will be held and giving wine patrons their wine purchases when they leave the festival.
  Winston-Salem Journal parking lot on 5th Street between Spruce and Marshall Streets (Between the Benton Convention Center and 1st Baptist Church)
• Ticket Booth – Volunteers for this task will be working at the two entrances to the event. Duties will include checking ID’s, taking money, issuing arm bands and tasting glasses to patrons.

Current Jaycees will get first choice in shift, but you do not need to be a Jaycee to volunteer. You MUST sign up, though!
