The U.S. Jaycees has revamped the Passport to Leadership program for 2013 where it is now called Passport to Civic Leadership.
The program is designed to quickly immerse new members into their Jaycee careers and help veteran Jaycees grow and develop skills such as public speaking, business writing or project management, that will also benefit members professionally.
The program is designed to take two to three years to complete, and is accomplished in 10 phases, or degrees. Each degree introduces the member to a new aspect of the Jaycee experience, develops a different leadership skill, and builds on the skills and steps previously attained.
Your chapter president will sign off as you complete each bullet point and report your progress to the National Passport to Civic Leadership Program Manager. The bullet points can be completed in any order. However you will remain at the lowest degree until each bullet point is completed under that degree.
Any questions about the program should be directed to your membership team at [email protected].
Members can track their progress on their membership profile and through the mobile app.
Visit either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for Jaycees Mobile and download the FREE new and improved app or visit:
iPhone App Store OR
Android Google Play
Android users who downloaded the previous App (prior to April 2013) will be directed to download the newer and much improved version.
If you do not already have an account for the JCI site, you will need a username and password to track your progress & login to the app. Please contact Awards Program Manager ([email protected]) to retrieve your login information.
You can also print off the Passport to Civic Leadership program guide and have the Chapter President sign off manually on the tasks you have completed.
