New Year, New Us – Spring Cleaning for Shalom Project

As we charge into 2021, let’s lighten our closets! For the whole month of April, the Winston-Salem Jaycees will be collecting clothing donations for a local charitable organization known as The Shalom Project. Originally established
to assist people in the West End, this project has been able to expand over the years to help people throughout Winston-Salem. They have a clothing closet, from which people in need can shop once a month for clothing items for men, women, and children, as well as shoes and other accessories. They “shop” at no cost to them, and are able to leave with clothing for themselves and their families. The project by the Winston-Salem Jaycees will collect gently used clothing and other needed items for this charity. Items will be donated at the end of April to The Shalom Project.
