Drinking with the Cops

The Jaycees will be helping to test Winston-Salem’s newest police cadets on their DUI testing skills by volunteering to “Drink with the Cops”.  For those who volunteer, a police officer will pick you up at your residence in an unmarked car to take to the police academy where they will provide you with a dosed amount of alcohol of your choice (beer, wine, liquor, and mixers).  Over the next couple of hours you will consume the prescribed amount of alcohol per your body weight to reach a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of .08 to operate a motor vehicle.  You will then be tested by cadets on eye movement, mobility, and balance to help them learn the proper testing procedures.  After you are finished, a police officer will drive you back to your home and drop you off.

Volunteers must live in Forsyth County and not be legal council to participate. Those participating should not eat anything after noon on the day the are participating. Volunteer spots are limited. Contact Amy Zambor to sign up.
